Chinhoyi Diocese Pastoral Center

The Pastoral Center was established in 1981 by the late Bishop Helmut Recktor SJ as the spiritual formation institute of the Diocese of Chinhoyi.

Chinhoyi Diocese Pastoral Center caters to the spiritual needs of both the laity and the religious in the diocese. It is a center for spiritual renewal offering formation courses to all. The Center is the hub for spiritual information and services which include host-making, marriage encounters, retreats, and catechetical and biblical courses.

The center hosts other diocesan and national programs and events.

Commissions and guilds hold their major activities at the Pastoral Center making the Pastoral Centre the heart and soul of the diocese and the Church.

The Pastoral Center does not only benefit the Catholic community but offers a plethora of services to Christian denominations who come to the place for spiritual meetings, prayers, conferences, and annual meetings.

The institution is also open to corporate organizations who use the Pastoral Center’s conference facilities as well as its boarding facilities.

The vision of the Pastoral Center is to promote spiritual growth and a Christian community that lives a call to holiness in a way that brings about sustainable spiritual and material development for the people of Chinhoyi.
