Fr. Weisbrich started preparations in 1969. After his death Fr. Husemann took over Alaska and started building a church on 6.3.1972, which was blessed by Archbishop Markall on 1.10.1972 together with the priest’s and catechist’s House. In 1973, Fr. Reuter became the first resident priest there. He built a church in Shackleton which was blessed on 28.9.1975.

Reuter became the first resident priest there. He built a church in Shackleton which was blessed on 28.9.1975. During 1976 he lived in Sinoia. A hall was started in 1977 and completed in February 1978. On 28.9.1975 the Holy Trinity Church in Shackleton was blessed by Mgr Reckter. In 1990, Fr, Schmidt built a church in Murereka (Lion’s Den).
