Father O`Hea Memorial Mission Hospital was named after a Jesuit priest (FR Jerome O`Hea who started nursing patients in the early 20s at Kutama mission). It opened its doors to patients in the early 90s making it the youngest hospital in the diocese of Chinhoyi. It was built by the Roman Catholic Church through the Jesuit and other donors. It is close to Kutama College a Marist Brothers-run Catholic School in the Mash West Zvimba District.
It serves a population 12 548, and it is a referral centre for 10 clinics and one rural hospital. It is 80km southeast of Chinhoyi and 80km to the west of Harare. Patients are referred to either Chinhoyi General Hospital or Harare. It has a staff complement of 103 that includes three resident doctors among other members. The hospital has a functional theatre, maternity ward, female ward, paediatrics ward, male ward, catering department, laundry, pharmacy, lab, X-Ray, OPD, rehab, dental unit, FCH, Viac, OI, transport and logistics, mortuary, workshop, and it runs self-help projects such as poultry, a livelihood garden and filed, admin and security.
