RSHM LIFE CARE CENTRE CLINIC

In September 2022, the RSHM (Religious Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary) Sisters opened the RSHM Life Care Centre Clinic in Rujeko covering the communities of Chikonohono, Rujeko, St. Irves, Ruvimbo, and Avlone Park. The clinic was established with the major objective of providing high-quality, cost-effective, and comprehensive primary and preventative healthcare services to the over 40,000 residents living in these underserved areas.

Prior to the clinic’s opening, many in these communities struggled to access affordable and reliable medical care. People often had to travel long distances or pay high fees at overcrowded public facilities. The RSHM Sisters recognized this need and worked tirelessly to open the new RSHM Life Care Centre Clinic, which would operate as a compassionate, community-focused healthcare provider rooted in Catholic values.

From the moment the clinic opened its doors, it was met with gratitude from local residents. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including general medicines, maternal and child healthcare, vaccinations, chronic disease management, minor procedures, and health education. Importantly, the clinic maintains affordable fees and accepts a variety of payment methods, ensuring accessibility for all members of the community, regardless of their economic status.
